OEM Sales Representation in the Texas / Oklahoma

Upon earning a Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1971 from Oklahoma State University, I began my career as a Design Engineer for a manufacturer of optical lens processing equipment. My goal was to gain experience in technical sales, leading to my employment by COLT INDUSTRIES, EATON and DANA CORPORATIONS from 1974 to 1981.

The J.L. KRAKER COMPANY was formed in June 1981 to serve a broad range of OEM markets in Oklahoma and Texas.

Companies represented fall into two categories; 1) Components requiring engineering application to meet customer specifications. 2) Complimentary products and services that provide opportunities in similar markets. My leading principal engineers, fabricates and forms tube for a variety of industries. My other principals manufacture pneumatic lifting devices, mold rubber and cast urethane, stamp / fabricate metal and provide accessories to several industries. Off-Road Mobile, Oilfield Equipment and Industrial Machinery OEM are re-emerging as growth areas. Other markets served include seating, exercise equipment, medical equipment, military equipment, metal enclosures, machine tools and a variety of other industrial equipment. Growth is achieved by continuously seeking applications at new accounts and addressing new applications with existing customers. Searching for and qualifying new accounts is an integral part of my responsibility to principals. Lead and Quote follow-up is a continuous activity while in the office or traveling. Product applications are addressed from a technical prospective by assisting in component integration in new and existing designs. To be successful in the current business environment, the principal and representative must provide value added services to minimize purchasing and engineering burdens are to be successful.

I am currently seeking two additional principals to compliment the four active principals currently represented for the Texas / Oklahoma area.
